Our Approach to Your HealthcareYour body has an incredible ability to heal! Symptoms are your body's way of saying that something is out of balance. We use natural methods to restore health by treating the underlying causes of an illness rather than merely masking or managing its symptoms. We offer an alternative medicine approach to womens health, mens health, and pediatric care. Our doctors create personalized treatment plans designed to stimulate your body's own healing power. The result is a safe, gentle, and long-term effective treatment that strengthens your body's resistance to disease.
You will experience a greater degree of overall health and well being in addition to improvement of your specific symptoms. We recommend annual health assessments to maintain health once you have achieved your health goals.
Office Visits
Chronic (long-term) concerns: 1st office visit: Your initial visit will last 90 -120 minutes and include a comprehensive health history and physical examination. The doctor will order lab tests if appropriate. She will design a personalized treatment plan to stimulate your body’s healing power and increase your resistance to disease. Depending on the complexity of your case, the doctor may need time to study your case and review lab results before devising a precise treatment plan for your unique situation. In this case, a second office visit will be scheduled to review the treatment plan.
Follow up visits: A follow-up will be scheduled within the first month to check on your progress, answer any questions about your treatment plan, and make adjustments as necessary. Keep in mind that there is an art to medicine, and sometimes we do need to adjust treatment plans in order to find the treatments that resonate with you.
Ongoing Care: The doctor may recommend quarterly or yearly check-ins. If the doctor has recommended craniosacral therapy or other ongoing therapies, a medical check-in will be recommended periodically in addition to the regular therapy sessions. If you need to come in sooner for an acute situation, a flare-up, or any other concerns, please do!
Acute concerns:1st office visit: Your initial visit will last 45-60 minutes and include a review of systems as well as in-depth investigation into your current health concern.
Follow-up care will be on an as-needed basis, depending on the nature of the initial concern. Often there are chronic health concerns that will be discussed at follow-up visits and long-term treatment plans will be discussed at that time.
Well-child care: 1st office visit: At this visit we will discuss healthy lifestyle choices and thoroughly review the health of your baby or child. The doctor will answer questions about any concerns you may be having about the health and care of your beloved child.
Follow-up visits will be scheduled on a regular basis to monitor your child’s growth and development.
Remember, our goal is not only to help you improve your health now, but to prevent future illnesses as well. It's much easier, more sensible, and less expensive to keep a body healthy than to allow an illness to take root and then work to eradicate it. Coming in for periodic preventive healthcare visits is a valuable way for us to stay current with new developments in your health and to prevent future disease.
Your treatment planThe plan the doctor creates for you is individualized for you personally. The doctor takes into account all of the information she has about you, including history, lab results, and physical exam. The plan may include lifestyle recommendations, dietary changes, and supplements as well as craniosacral therapy or hydrotherapy. Our alternative medicine approach may require you to make some changes. We hope it empowers you to care for your health, and to ask questions when you have them. Call the office if you are confused about your plan; the doctor will be happy call you back to clarify.
